Why are my posts not showing up?
Xnerd uses a filtering system that will automatically hide posts containing bad words or potentially offensive remarks from public view. This gives members of xnerd the ability to speak freely and not worry about people who they do not wish to offend.

Why does it takes me to the security settings screen when I log in?
The new xnerd gives more security to the users, with this in mind users must set some basic security settings upon their first log in, if this screen continues to show up after you have setup these settings please contact the administrators.

I can't retrieve my reset password!
Xnerd relies on e-mail for password resets, thus it is suggested that you set your e-mail address to something other than your @xnerd.net mail account.

Why doesn't my username work?
With the modifications to xnerd, certain users have recieved new log in names. If you believe that your username is one of these please contact the administrators, asking for your new information.

Why doesn't my password work?
Again, with the upgrades to xnerd passwords have become case-sensitive (meaning if you made your password with an uppercase letter you must type it with an uppercase letter). This gives users added security and more password choices.

My password still won't work.
You are now able to reset your password by clicking "Forgot your password" beneath the log-in screen. This will then ask for your username and the e-mail address you have associated with your xnerd account, from there it will ask you to answer your secret answer. Upon a correct answer you will be notified of your new password via e-mail shortly. If you still are unable to log in contact an administrator.

How come my hyperlinks don't show up?
When creating a hyperlink you must highlight what you wish to link and then click the hyperlink button and input the web address. Alternativly, you may simply type the URL of the website and xnerd will automatically link to the site.

Why do I keep getting logged out?
By default, xnerd will log you out of the system after 30 minutes (this is to protect from unauthorized users using your account). If you are using a secure machine you can click the "Stay logged in" checkbox when you are logging into the system, this will keep you logged on to xnerd for up to a year.

Why won't javascript work in my profile?
Due to changes in the xnerd system, certain aspects of the profile have been disabled. We are in the process of reallowing them.

What are these "Fileshare Settings"?
In the plans for xnerd is a filesharing system, from the "Fileshare Settings" screen users are able to setup a filesharing system from their computer. Once the system has been setup, users can add thier computer to the database and supply a username and password for other xnerders.
